About Me
This residency was an opportunity to expand and work on my previous work – inspired by gangs and friends channeling rage and fighting injustices together. I created characters, thinking about their personalities and aesthetics.
Working with the team at Out of the Blueprint I explored using Gocco printing to create t-shirts, sweaters and fabric patches. The residency coincided with Out of the Blueprint's Walk Don't Walk exhibition, organised to celebrate the studio's 5th birthday. The exhibition featured work by 19 artists, with each creating a risograph printed banner. I created my banner adapting the designs created during the residency and this was displayed alongside the clothing.
